The TNC (Threaded Neill-Concelman) series is a high-reliability RF interface designed to maintain constant electrical continuity in environments subject to vibration and mechanical stress. This D-Hole Panel Mount variant (commonly known as a bulkhead “D-Flat” mount) is designed for rigid integration into equipment panels. The “D” shape of the threaded body fits into a corresponding flat-sided panel cutout, which physically prevents the connector from spinning when the external TNC male plug is tightened or loosened, ensuring a permanent and secure grounding path.
Unlike crimp-style connectors, this variant features a solder-cup or solder-post termination, allowing for direct attachment of internal chassis wiring or the center conductor of a coaxial cable. This makes it a versatile solution for prototyping, laboratory equipment, and industrial RF modules where internal space is tight or specialized crimping tools are not practical. Manufactured with a heavy-duty nickel-plated brass body and premium PTFE (Teflon) insulation, it delivers consistent 50-Ohm performance and low VSWR up to 11 GHz.
