Description

The SMA Female Bulkhead (BH) Solder Connector for RG141 is a precision RF component designed for mounting through equipment panels and enclosures. This connector is optimized for RG141 (.141″) semi-rigid cable, which features a solid copper outer conductor. By utilizing a direct-solder attachment, the cable is soldered 360 degrees to the connector body, creating a seamless, gas-tight mechanical and electrical bond.

This robust mounting style, secured by a bulkhead nut and washer, ensures the connector remains fixed even during high-torque mating of external antennas or cables. By eliminating the mechanical gaps found in crimp alternatives, this solder-on interface drastically reduces Passive Intermodulation (PIM) and ensures near-perfect EMI/RFI shielding across frequencies up to 18 GHz.

Key Technical Advantages

  • Panel-Mount Stability: The bulkhead design with a threaded barrel allows for secure, vibration-proof installation in chassis and shielded boxes.

  • 360? Solder Shielding: Direct-solder termination provides the highest possible RF isolation and minimizes signal leakage.

  • Low VSWR & Insertion Loss: Precision-machined to maintain a strict 50 Ohm impedance, ensuring maximum power transfer in high-frequency microwave paths.

  • Superior Mechanical Strength: The soldered body-to-cable joint offers exceptional pull-strength and durability against thermal expansion.

  • Premium Corrosion Resistance: Constructed from gold-plated brass or stainless steel, providing long-term reliability in sensitive RF environments.

Key Features

  • Bulkhead Mounting Type: Threaded barrel with nut and washer for professional through-panel integration.

  • Direct-Solder Termination: Custom-fit for RG141, RG402, and standard .141″ semi-rigid coaxial cables.

  • High-Purity PTFE Insulator: Features a premium Teflon dielectric for superior electrical performance and heat resistance during soldering.

  • Broad Frequency Range: Reliably supports applications from DC up to 18 GHz.

  • Gold-Plated Beryllium Copper Contact: Ensures low contact resistance and high mating durability.
