This connector is tailored for the helical corrugated outer conductor of 1/4″ superflex cable. The soldering process creates a gas-tight junction that eliminates the microscopic gaps often responsible for PIM. The center conductor is soldered into a precision-machined cup, while the outer conductor is typically secured by a secondary solder or high-pressure mechanical sleeve.

Constructed with PTFE (Teflon) insulation and silver-plated center contacts, it minimizes signal loss even at higher frequencies. The 7/16 DIN interface is the industry standard for these applications because it can handle significant installation torque and maintains stability in high-vibration environments like tower tops or street-level small cell poles.
