The TNC (Threaded Neill-Concelman) series is a ruggedized RF interface designed to maintain constant electrical continuity in environments subject to vibration and mechanical stress. This Right Angle (90°) PCB mount variant is specifically engineered for high-density board layouts. By orienting the interface perpendicular to the PCB, it allows for horizontal cable mating, significantly reducing the vertical profile of the assembly and making it ideal for shallow rack-mount equipment and low-profile wireless devices.

The connector features through-hole solder pins for the center signal conductor and multiple grounding legs (typically 4) to ensure a high-strength mechanical bond and a low-impedance path to the board’s ground plane. This design provides superior durability compared to surface-mount alternatives, protecting the PCB traces from the leverage and torque applied during the mating of TNC male cables. Manufactured with a heavy-duty nickel-plated brass body and premium PTFE (Teflon) insulation, it delivers stable 50-Ohm performance and low VSWR up to 11 GHz.
