Description

The 5/8″ feeder is designed to minimize signal degradation over long vertical or horizontal runs. It utilizes a physically foamed Polyethylene (PE) dielectric and a solid corrugated copper outer conductor, providing 100% shielding effectiveness (>120 dB). This construction prevents signal leakage and protects against external interference in dense RF environments.

While less common than 1/2″ or 7/8″ sizes, the 5/8″ cable is frequently used as a high-power jumper or a primary feeder line where space is slightly more constrained than a standard macro site allows, but power requirements exceed the limits of smaller cables. It is typically jacketed in UV-resistant Black PE for a 20+ year outdoor service life.
