Description

The 1/2″ feeder cable is prized for its ability to transmit high-frequency signals over long distances with minimal degradation. Its construction typically includes a Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA) inner conductor and a physical foam polyethylene dielectric. The corrugated copper tube outer conductor provides a 100% shielding effectiveness, preventing interference from nearby electronic equipment and environmental noise.

There are two primary versions:

• Low Loss (e.g., LDF4 or LCF12): Designed for fixed outdoor runs where minimizing signal loss is the priority.

• Superflexible (e.g., FSJ4 or SCF12): Features deeper corrugations to allow for a much tighter bend radius (~30mm vs ~125mm), making it perfect for tight jumpers and indoor cabinet routing.

Key Technical Advantages

• Extreme Low Attenuation: Provides significantly lower signal loss than 1/4″ or RG-series cables, often losing as little as ~7dB per 100 meters at 900 MHz.

• High Power Capacity: Can handle peak power ratings up to 30-40 kW, suitable for high-power broadcast and cellular transmitters.

• PIM Stability: The solid corrugated outer conductor ensures excellent Passive Intermodulation (PIM) performance, which is critical for maintaining high network speeds in modern 4G/5G systems.

• Weatherproof & Durable: Typically jacketed in Black PE or LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), providing UV protection and a service life of over 20 years in extreme outdoor conditions.

• Wide Frequency Range: Operates efficiently from low-band VHF/UHF up to the 10 GHz range, covering almost all commercial wireless bands.
