The 1-1/4″ feeder is engineered to carry massive amounts of RF energy over hundreds of feet with negligible loss. Its large surface area and high-expansion foam polyethylene (PE) dielectric allow it to maintain signal integrity that smaller cables simply cannot match. The solid corrugated copper outer conductor ensures shielding effectiveness of >120 dB, making it immune to the high-interference environments typical of co-located carrier towers.
Because of its significant diameter and weight, this cable is less flexible and requires specialized heavy-duty hoisting grips and hangers for installation. It is almost exclusively jacketed in UV-resistant Black PE to ensure a 20+ year lifespan in extreme outdoor environments, protecting the internal components from moisture and oxidation.
