The SMA Male Solder Connector for RG405 is a professional-grade RF component optimized for high-performance signal transmission. Because RG405 features a solid silver-plated copper outer conductor, this connector utilizes a direct-solder body attachment.

 

The cable’s outer conductor is soldered 360 degrees directly to the connector body, creating a seamless, gas-tight mechanical and electrical bond. This method eliminates signal leakage and passive intermodulation (PIM) often found in crimp-style connectors. It is the preferred choice for RF power amplifiers, internal chassis wiring, and laboratory test fixtures operating in the DC to 18 GHz range, where maintaining an ultra-low VSWR is critical.
